Naturally Cast by Chris: News

The Winston-Salem Craft Guild
Holiday Shop closed today (12/23/11).  My thanks to all of our great friends and patrons.

Visit my Facebook page and on-line store to see items that were at the Guild store and some new items as well.
And, I'm having a SALE. Everything that was at the Guild store now has a discounted price.
The sale lasts until Thursday, Dec. 29.

The Winston-Salem Craft Guild was at AppleFest on Sept. 17 at Bethabara Park in Winston-Salem.

We had Artisans demonstrating their craft throughout the day.  Here's a picture that Kris took of me while I was preparing to make a twig casting.

A breeze picked up just as I was pouring the molten silver for the twig casting and it blew out the flame, the silver cooled slightly, and I ended up with an incomplete casting.  (One of "joys" of demoing outside.  I even commented to the crowd what was happening, but, while in the middle of a pour, there is no stopping.)  However, I did produce 3 stunning sterling needle castings and a very cool sterling water casting.

Thanks to everyone who visited my and the other demos.  We all enjoy sharing our craft and meeting new friends.

Above is a new pendant made for Kris for Christmas 2010. It features a Mook jasper cut by Nathan Christensen.
